Les Mills Combat Extreme Cardio Fighter is 60 minutes in length. Up until this point all the workouts have been no more than 45 minutes and most of them have only been 30 minutes. When I saw the 60 minute workout on the schedule I can’t really say I was that excited about this one. You see the type of workouts I like the most are the really intense workouts that you do in very little time. For me if I can get in a great workout in 15 minutes I am really happy about this. I do however understand the importance of switching it up and going for longer bouts of time.
Les Mills Combat Extreme Cardio Fighter Overview:
I am copying word for word this right out of the Les Mills Combat Fitness Guide that comes with Les Mills Combat.

The overview that is provided is a pretty good description of how this workout is. You will be throwing tons of punches and doing tons of kicks, These are Roundhouse, Side Kick, Front Kick, Back Kick, and Jump Kick. At one point in the routine there are just none stop punches and at this point my shoulders just started aching. Somehow I found it in me to keep going .
It actually is not that difficult to keep going when you see Dan Cohen going all out with perfect form and hear energizing music that is going along with the moves you are doing.
Like I have said in previous post and will say it again Les Mills Combat is a phenomenal workout program. I find it to be fun and effective to get results fast. I feel Les Mills Combat is very well balanced and will provide anybody what they need to burn a ton a of calories and get shredded. I have no doubt in my mind that by the end of Les Mills Combat if you are at a decent body fat percentage that you will get a six pack doing Les Mills Combat. Of course this will not happen if you do not watch what you eat and one of the ways I have found that makes eating healthy a whole lot easier and more convenient is drinking Shakeology daily. In fact by doing my workouts and drinking Shakeology I have shed 20 lbs and dropped my body fat down from 16.9% to 12%. I have a goal of getting to at least 10% but I feel 8% is where I want to be.
With Les Mills Combat and Shakeology I can’t go wrong and I anticipate reaching this goal by the end of the program.
One thing I forgot to address and this was a complete surprise to me. I was not expecting this at all. I mean for about 50 minutes all you do in Les Mills Combat Extreme Cardio Fighter is punches, kicks and knees, but at the very end there are no more punches. Right after a wicked round of jabs that had my shoulders burning I was told to drop down and do push-ups. Now the push-ups were on my knees but it did not matter because my shoulders were dead so anything done on the shoulders was going to be hard. Not only do you do push-ups but you do circle push-ups. This is done by leaning over your right shoulder then traveling around to your left shoulder.
Take it from me. When you arms are tired this is very difficult. This is followed up with 2 push-ups and then repeat. After the set of push-ups you do some different crunches and my abs were burning through these. I did not find it that difficult but I did feel it for sure.
So there you have it! Les Mills Combat Extreme Cardio Fighter has a little bit of everything and by the end of it you are going to be feeling worked over but in a good way. I know I sure did work up a sweat. Now I would not compare it to Insanity or Insanity Asylum because that is like jumping into a pool with your clothes on but still I worked up a pretty good sweat.
